Minor Atom MD Goalies win John Coombs Memorial Trophy
The goaltending duo of Nate Chapman and Connor Harmon were presented with the John Coombs Memorial Trophy from Waterloo Minor Hockey for being the top goaltending duo in junior MD this season.

The John Coombs Memorial Trophy is presented annually to the MD goalies with the lowest goals against average from Novice to Minor Peewee and also from Peewee to Midget. John Coombs was a committed coach, volunteer and friend of Waterloo Minor Hockey Association.  He passed away October 27th,  2003 from cancer.

This year both Nate and Connor put up an impressive combined GAA of 1.40 and were both huge contributors to our on ice success this season.  They were assisted throughout the season at morning practices by coach Andrew Fenton and Tate Merritt (a recipient himself of the award for youth mentorship in WMHA).

Please join me in congratulating this fine pair of young athletes!

Coach Craig
