Undefeated weekend for the Wolves
The Novice MD Black Wolves had another successful weekend where they played three games in as many days.

After back to back shutouts against Brantford (7-0) and Burlington (9-0), the Wolves headed down to Kitchener to take on the MD White team. Both teams started slow, but the Wolves took the early lead with a goal by Joel V. After a couple of defensive lapses that led to a pair of Ranger goals, a shot from the point from Bennett G. found the net and the Wolves had tied it up. Sloppy play in the Wolves end led to another two Ranger goals and the Wolves faced an uphill battle into the third.

However, as the team motto suggests (Work Hard, Never Quit) the Wolves were not giving up. Brian N. converted a Ranger giveaway and the Wolves were down one. Ryan P. appeared to have the equalizer but the goal was called back. With time expiring, the Wolves pulled the goalie and sent Ryan P. back on the ice for one last chance. After the Rangers failed to clear the zone, Ryan P. found the puck on his stick and did his best impression of a Joel V. backhand. The puck went through a crowd and hit the back of the net and the Wolves had completed the comeback. A well earned tie and congratulations to Heath E. who earned the hardhat for the game!
