As we head into the month of December, we are crossing the halfway point of the hockey season. We have played just over half our league games and we have 2 of our 4 tournaments to compete in.
December will be a busy month with games, practices, tournaments and team activities between now and the Christmas break.
Games/Practices
We will have at least 9 games and 9 practices over the next 4 weeks. Remember we have ice this Thursday December 1st in Wellesley (don't go to AMCE!) and added a session at G & G Skate on Thursday December 15th.
The schedule for the Hamilton tournament December 2nd - 4th is posted on our website. The Hamilton Bulldog website has the full tournament schedule. Our games Saturday will depend on how we do on the Friday games. We will definitely be playing 2 games Saturday. We have about 3 hours between games on Saturday so look for a team activity between games. For the Friday games we have about 6 hours between games and who wants to spend 6 hours of downtime in Hamilton! So nothing planned for Friday.
Team Celebrations
We have a few team celebrations planned for December. Saturday December 17th will be our food drive day. The Social Committee has handed out the boxes to be filled by the boys for that game. We have contacted Cambridge and asked them to reach out to their families about the food drive and support our teams efforts.
The boys will be rock climbing on the 18th after our game. Little known fact that Coach Patrick is a big time rock climber with The Big Show being his favourite wall. And the Santa Stocking Stuffing is Tuesday December 20th.
A big thank you to the Social Committee for planning these events for the boys.
The Nations Cup - Ann Arbor January 2017
Hotels are reserved, Michigan / Michigan St is booked and the jerseys will be ordered later this week. There will be much more to the The Nations Cup so stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the January tournament.
See you at the rink!
