Wolves Give Back with Food Bank Bag Handout
The Waterloo Wolves Peewee MD Black team gave back to the local community today, through the Food Bank's Bag Handout program.

The team split up and travelled to four different Loblaws locations in Kitchener-Waterloo. The boys were responsible for asking customers to help out by filling a bag for the food back during their shopping trip. The day evolved into some friendly competition with unofficial tallies for who gave out the most bags to grocery customers. The boys tried various different strategies to encourage generosity from the customers. Some went straight for the heart, asking customers to "please fill a bag for the Food Bank so children don't go hungry at Christmas." Some chose to strike up a friendly conversation with every patron that walked through the doors. Some were just natural salesmen, not taking no for an answer. However they did it, the team as a whole handed out an estimated 500 bags. The coaching staff is incredibly impressed with the team's salesmanship, giving spirit, and their ability to come together. Being a team means so much more than just winning and losing. A special thank you to Jack's mom for organizing the charitable event, as well as the parents who helped at the various locations.
