Minor Peewee MD Black win the Tier 1 semi-final playdowns in
Congratulations to the Minor Peewee MD Black Wolves for winning the Tier 1 Semi-Final Playdowns in two games!
Game 1 on Friday the team won 1-0 in a hard fought game against the Burlington Bulldogs. The Wolves got off to a rocky start, but a smart play by a forward when he capitalized on the Bulldogs backing off of an icing puck turned into a goal...they got fired up! It was a fantastic game to watch, and the goaltending was stellar. There were opportunities on both sides, but neither goalie was willing to give an inch. The Wolves had some fantastic breakaways, and some great passing in this game.
Game 2 on Saturday the Wolves traveled to Burlington for the second and what could be final game in the series. They were pumped! Burlington was not going to go out easy, and put the pressure on right out of the gate! Wolves scored two goals in the first period, and a great shot from the point in the third period to capitalize on a penalty. They were able to pot two goals in an empty net for the 5-2 win. Our formula for this win included great teamwork, passing, defense and excellent goaltending.
Now the Wolves Black are off to the East Central Division finals. Congratulations, and Go get'em Wolves Black!
