They're playing great hockey!
The Minor Peewee Wolves Black are playing great hockey and have had another good weekend.
Although their game ended in a loss to the Woodstock Navy Jets, it was a close game on Saturday. 2-1. A goal that was described as 'beautiful' in the first period got the Wolves fired up to maintain a lead for the first and second period. Woodstock came back in the third period with lots of pressure. It was a rough and tumble game, but the Wolves kept their cool and did not retaliate. It came down to the last few minutes when Woodstock scored again to take the lead.
Sunday saw the third game playing the Waterloo White team in a 'Battle of Waterloo', and a decisive win for the Waterloo Black Wolves 3-0!
In the first period a smart backhand goal got the Wolves on the board, and in the second period one from beside the net. Wolves Black maintained their lead in the first and second period, and potted another one in the third. The boys should be really proud of the entire team effort - chasing into the corners, heads up passing, smart decisions, pass interceptions, solid defense and a fantastic shutout for the goalie.
Way to go Wolves Black, keep up the hard work!
