Waterloo White MD Minor Peewee Tier 1 Champions
Waterloo White and Waterloo Black took part in the third and deciding game of the Minor Peewee MD East/Central Tier 1 Division Championships and the two well matched teams did not disappoint....
After splitting the first two games of the series both teams were geared up for a shootout at Albert McCormick last night. But after trading chances and skating hard for 3 periods there was still no score. Both goalies making key stops throughout.
It wasn't until 7:03 of the second overtime that Brady Ross banged in the game winner after the initial shot from Nathan Piercey. Gage Usiski came away with the shutout.
Congratulations to all the Waterloo White and Black players and coaches for a hard fought series. Both teams now make the drive to St. Catherines next week for the Alliance championships on April 8-10.
