Two weekend wins for the Waterloo Wolves White!
The Minor Peewee Waterloo Wolves White followed up their win at the Guelph Tourney with two favourable outcomes over this past weekend....

The White Wolves showed their A game with a home tilt against Caimbridge on Saturday at Albert McCormick. With some solid defence by the likes of Robbie Young and Garret Conway, and goaltending to die for by Ferguson (they call me Fergie) Braid, the Wolves were able to continue the goal scoring from last weekend. James Stuebing opened it up with a feed from Ryan Class from behind the net and Brady Ross got one with an assist from Nathan Piercy. Caimbridge made it interesting with a goal of their own but Class salted it away in the final seconds with an empty netter.

The second game of the weekend took place away from home in Kitchener, against the second place Kitchener Blue team. Stuebing opened it up again with helpers from Class and Connor (Smiley) Scida, but the score was quickly evened on a goal by Kitchener.  The game stayed tied until deep in the second before Class scored with assists from Nic Bassler and Scida. The Wolves played with the lead for another period with a transplanted Matthew Breen working hard with the forwards instead of his usual blue line position. The game was all but over before Kitchener managed a short handed tally late in the third.  A dissapointing tie looked to be inevitable but was thwarted by Ben Riddall who hammered home the go-ahead tally with 2:09 left in the third.  Matthew (Monster) Au-Yeung took credit for the assist and the Waterloo Wolves White had their second win of the weekend!

The coaches were very pleased with the intesity of the entire group and the team has been playing great hockey. They currently hold second place all alone just four points back of Hamilton Red.  Keep up the good work boys and lets go get Kitchener Red on Wednesday!
