MD Minor Atom White vs Brantford 99ers

The wolves took 3 of 4 points this weekend as they tied the Brantford 99ers 3 - 3.

A see-saw battle between both teams as they raced up and down the ice throughout the first period. Cole Matthews had to be on his toes as he ensured no one scored in the first period. The defense was on their game once again and kept the front of the net clear.

Waterloo had to even the score late in the second when Riley Waters launched a bullet of a shot beating the Brantford goalie low stick side.

The boys played catch-up once again as Quade Willson chipped the puck up the boards to Chaz Proulx. Chaz battled his way between two defenders and then used the third man as a screen when he shot the puck high glove side catching the Brantford goalie going the other way. Hats off to Aidan MacKinnon who pinched in and kept the puck onside late in the third that allowed Brett Verutis to give the puck to Jake Millington which gave the team the go ahead maker with 4 minutes left in the game.

Ryder Murphy took home the hardest worker helmet for his solid effort getting the puck out of the zone all game long.

Great game boys. Excellent effort in your last two games. Keep working hard. Good luck against Burlington next Saturday.
