It was another weekend of the boys playing great defensively, working hard and most importantly, having fun!!
After 4 straight days of practices and games, the boys enjoyed a great team-building event at DQ on the Boardwalk.
After practices Thursday and Friday, the boys travelled to Kitchener on Saturday morning to play the first place team, Kitchener Blue. The boys continue to improve every game and this was no exception. With stellar goaltending from both Griffen and Sam, and the commitment to defense, we held Kitchener to only 3 goals. Unfortunately, we were unable to generate any offense, resulting in a 3-0 loss.
On Sunday, we played Burlington at home and the boys started slowly and were down 1-0 after the 1st period. Once they found their legs and starting winning puck races, Evin was able to even the score at 1-1 in the 2nd period. Once again, goaltending and defense played a major role and the boys were able to hold on for the tie.
As a result of the team's hard work, dedication, and their participation in the 3000 Puck Challenge, we all headed off to DQ for a great team lunch!!
Over the weekend, there were 2 players that really demonstrated great hustle and hard work. The Super Wolf recipients were Caleb and Peyton.
