Timber Wolves tie 1-1 in Game 1 of the Semifinals
The Boys in Black and Yellow were out in fine form tonight for game 1 of the Tier 1 Semifinals against Kitchener Red at Moses Springer.  The fans came in droves to see their boys continue their stellar play late into the season.....

Both teams were up for the challenge and fought hard through the first with no goals scored in the period. It wasn't until later in the second that Kitchener opened the scoring after several whacks at a great initial save by Gage Usiski. For the entire game the Wolves threw a lot of rubber at the Kitchener goalie, easily out shooting their opponent over the course of the game.
But it wasn't until late in the third with just over a minute to go when the Wolves capped off the comeback for the second time in as many games.  With Usiski on the bench and a 6th attacker on, Brady Ross won the offensive zone face-off and the Wolves drove the net.  With the assist also from Thatcher Lutz, Nathan Piercy hammered home the tying goal.  5 minutes of overtime ensued but the game finished in 1-1 tie.
The Waterloo Timber Wolves are now undefeated in their last 7 games and take their show on the road to face Kitchener at the Activa Complex Friday night at 6:15.  Come and cheer on the Boys in Black and Yellow in Game 2 of the series!
