Atom Timber Wolves advance!!!
The Atom Tomber Wolves have advanced to the Tier 1 Semifinals against Kitchener Red!  After a hard fought game against the Ice Wolves ended in a tie on Saturday, the Timber Wolves needed a win or a tie against Brantford yesterday to continue on to the semifinal series.  It all came down to one game at the Brantford Civic Centre with the outcome signalling the end of the season.... or a date with Kitchener later this week!

Brantford opened the scoring early before Waterloo tied it with a great goal by Matthew Au-Yeung in the first. But after dominating early the Timber Wolves watched Brantford take over with two unanswered goals over the next 2 periods.  If not for some stellar tending by Ferguson (they call me Ferg) Braid, it could have been much worse! Down 3-1 with just over 5 minutes to play a determined Evan Wright drove up the right boards towards the net to set up the goal by Brody Jennings, cutting the lead in half.

Finally with over a minute to play and Waterloo controlling in Brantford's end, Ferg made his way to the bench for the 6th attacker. The pressure was intense and with just over 40 seconds to play, Wright slid home the tying goal and the comeback was complete!

With the tie the Boys in Black and Yellow move on to face Kitchener Red in the first game of the Tier one semi-finals on Thursday night at 8:00pm at Moses Springer.  Tell your family, tell your friends, and lets get out to support the Timber Wolves on their first game of the series!
