Wild Wolves Update: Cujo Invitational to Alliance Tier 3 Playoffs!
The Waterloo Wild Wolves (Novice MD) win the Sapphire Championship at the 32-team Cujo Tyke Invitational in Newmarket to start 2015 - and they haven't looked back!

There's no doubt this is a very tight group of boys and families that always seem to be laughing and having a good time. This despite taking some lumps in their 1st year of rep as they learned all the positions of 5 on 5 hockey. But impressively, the group remained positive, patient and humble during a process where there weren't an abundance of wins. And now they're being rewarded!

After opening the 32 team Cujo Tyke Invitational Tournament in Newmarket with losses to Vaughan, Orangeville and Barrie, the coaching staff (and boys) made some great adjustments which resulted in consecutive wins over Guelph and Tecumseh Shoreline...and the coveted Sapphire Championship! The hardware provided not just confidence, but a just reward for a group committed to the proper development of 7 year-old rep hockey players.

Since then, the Wild Wolves have started the Tier 3 Playoffs of Alliance Novice MD with 3 wins and a tie and are now undefeated in their last 6 games vs. Burlington (2x), Woodstock (2x), Cambridge, and Brantford. Contributions have truly come from all 3 forward lines, the 6 defencemen and our 2 awesome goalies.

Thanks again to the leadership of our coaches: Head Coach Rick Morton, Shawn Weatherdon, Jason Forget, Mike Roberts, and Matt Scholtzhauer and on-ice assistants Mike Wilson, Ryan McLeod and Glen Halstead.

What a great season. Stay tuned fans...the Wild Wolves are on a roll!
