Project Shutout Hunger
The Waterloo Wolves Major Atom AA Hockey Club were treated to a practice run by Kitchener Rangers Assistant Coach Mike MacKenzie Tuesday night.
Back in December the team organized a food drive to support the Kitchener Waterloo Food Bank. The total donation of 1,236 lbs was recognized by the Food Bank as part of the OHL Program, Project Shutout Hunger.
Our team was chosen as the local winner for this program and earned the privilege to have Mike MacKenzie run one of our team practices. It was great to have coach Mike on the ice showing the boys some new drills and adding some fun twists to our practice time.
