MD Minor Atom Ice Wolves make the Semi Final Round of the MD East/Central Alliance Playdowns
The Waterloo Minor Atom MD Ice Wolves came together and worked & played hard during their Playoff season.  These boys were determined to secure a spot in the top four teams that would advance to the Semi Finals.

This really showed during the last 3 games of the Playoff.  The Ice Wolves managed to destroy the Hamilton Hub Spitfires in an 8-2 win, they then continued on and beat the Cambridge Hawks with a 4-3 win. Going into the final game against the Brantford Saints the boys needed a win to secure the 4th place spot, or a tie in order to tie Cambridge Hawks for the 4th place spot.

The boys battled hard, they passed, they worked together, and they communicated…the results a successful team!  The Waterloo Ice Wolves tied Brantford Saints in the final game 1-1.  This put the Waterloo Ice Wolves in a tie 10 point fourth position with the Cambridge Hawks.  In the end Waterloo Ice Wolves beat Cambridge Hawks for the 4th place spot because they won their playoff games against them, and had a higher GF%.

The Waterloo Ice Wolves will battle against St Catherine’s Hurricanes starting in an away game on Saturday March 22nd in a best 2 out of 3 game series, whichever team has 4 points first will move on to the “Finals” for the chance at the title of “Alliance East/Central Champions”.

The Ice Wolves will play their 2nd game at Home on Sunday, March 23 at 7:15 pm at Albert McCormick West. Come out, make some noise & support the Ice Wolves!!!
