GARDEN CITY EARLY BIRD CHAMPS
The Garden City Minor Hockey Early Bird Tournament held in St. Catharines/Niagara Falls Sept 20-22.
The Waterloo Wolves Minor Peewee Black hockey team had a successful weekend winning their first tournament of the year.
The Wolves tied their first game 1-1 vs. the Clarington Toros.
After that it was all wins, beating Pittsburgh Arctic Foxes 13-0, Niagara Falls Canucks 4-0 and the Guelph Gryphons 5-2.
The Wolves finished #1 in Pool A after round robin play.
They would take on the #1 team in Pool B, West London Hawks.
The boys energy and effort resulted in a very exciting championship game, a 3-1 win over London.
Congratulations to the boys on the team, coaches and families.
What a great start to the exciting 2013-14 season.
