After A Tough Couple Games, Wolves Head into Christmas Break with A Win.
Written by Shawn Thompson

The Wolves had a tough two games against their neighbours in Kitchener, and then bounced back with a win in Chatham.

On December 15th, the Rangers came out from the get-go and put it to the Wolves with a 4-1 victory. The Wolves could not match the effort of the Rangers and paid dearly for it.The lone goal was scored by Jake McDonald with assists going to Jaxson Murray and Ryan Hanson.

Five nights later, the Wolves had hoped for not only a better result but also a much better effort but that was simply not the case. It looked briefly like it might be as the Wolves scored first. Spencer Young scored a nice goal along the ice with assists going to Cooper Way and Jake McDonald. Soon after that early goal, the Rangers took the boots to the Wolves defeating them 6-1. One positive is that the Wolves will get an opportunity to avenge the two losses on January 3rd when they host the Rangers at 7:30 at Albert McCormick (West).

After the two disheartening losses, the Wolves had a chance the very next day to pick themselves off of the mat when they went into Chatham with the hope of a much better effort and result. They once again had an early lead when Kyle Maloney scored but unlike the night before, this time they did not relinquish it. The Wolves prevailed by a score of 4-1 with Misha Stastna solid in net. There were many positives the Wolves took from this game like a better effort, some beautiful goals, solid break-outs and most importantly having a short memory. Other goal scorers were Jaxson Murray, Cooper Way, and Jacob Thompson. Single assists were earned by Kyle Maloney, Jacob Thompson and Jake Anderson.

The Wolves have a short break before the season really picks up with a number of games in early January. Enjoy the holidays and Merry Christmas to all.
