Game 16 - Sat Feb. 16th @ Albert McCormick
The Dofasco PeeWee Select team of Hamilton came up to Waterloo to put their 13-1-1 record on the line. We had heard that this was a highly skilled offensive team, so a strategy was devised.
The first period was a very fast paced back and forth game. Both goaltenders were holding their respective teams in this game. With less then a minute left in the first period, the Wolves T Wark banged in a rebound from inside the blue paint. A Rowlands and B Mirt got the assistes on this play.
The Second period had two goals scored both by the Wolves. B Schal got one unassisted and A Henhoeffer banged one in assisted by D Farhood.
The third period started and Dofasco got the first goal of this period. It was now a 3-1 hockey game with more the ten minutes of hockey left. This Dofasco team was not backing down and we Wolves were prepared ahead for a challenging game.
A Rowlands our team captain answered the call with a goal assisted by T Wark and B Mirt. R Read got the Wolves fifth goal of the game unassisted. N Pacey buried a blast from the point on a great feed from A Rowlands. D Farhood got the seventh goal for the Wolves assisted by A Henhoeffer. B Timms got our final and eight goal of the game unassisted.
It appeared as though we Wolves, had some stored up energy and used it up in the third period of this game to score five unanswered goals.
