Timber Wolves on wrong end of 3 to 1 score.

On Saturday, the Timber Wolves travelled to Hamilton to face the Cyclones.  The Timber Wolves fell behind early 1-0.  Strong play in net by Aaron H and Connor R kept the Timber Wolves in the game.  Offensively, the Timber Wolves struggled to get any pucks directed at the Hamilton net.  The Timber Wolves only managed 5 shots on goal through the first 2 periods.  The third period saw the Timber Wolves play their best period of hockey so far this year, but found themselves down 3 to 0 after a couple of early period goals by Hamilton.  With just over 2 minutes to play the Timber Wolves were pressing hard in the Hamilton end and drew 2 penalties.  With the goalie on the bench and an extra skater the Timber Wolves scored to cut the lead to 3 to 1.  Hamilton continued to be stuck in their own end for the remainder of the game, but the Timber Wolves could not solve the Hamilton goalie again.  The third period saw the Timber Wolves throw 10 shots at the net and they had many quality opportunities, but just could not find the back of the net.  The Timber Wolves learned they need to bring this kind of effort for the whole game to be successuful.  After the game, players bonded and enjoyed a team dinner at Boston Pizza.  This Weekends action see's the Timber Wolves play 2 arch rivals when they travel to Cambidge on Saturday and host Kitchener on Sunday.  This weekend the team will need to come ready and willing to battle for 35 minutes.
