Brantford Evens Series With Pee Wee Gold
The Pee Wee Good Wolves hosted Brantford for Game 2 and were hoping to put a stranglehold on the series with a victory.
Brantford had other ideas unfortunately, and they were the hungrier team as they outworked the Wolves throughout the game and capitalized on some sloppy play in the defensive zone by the Wolves. The 99ers built a two goal lead after one period before the Wolves were able to respond. Thomas Dunbar picked up a loose puck in the slot and wired a hard wrist shot just inside the cross bar to narrow the deficit to one goal. Bryson Henderson and Brandon McBain assisted on the goal. Brantford scored the next three goals however to put the game out of reach. Josh Stephens added a late tally for the Wolves to make the final 5-2. Henderson and Justin Labrie had the helpers.
The Wolves will have to be better Tuesday night when they travel to Brantford for game 3.
