February 18th- Waterloo vs Georgetown at AMCE
Well, short and sweet will be the theme of this game’s synopsis. To recap our history, we tied Georgetown earlier in the season and managed to defeat them in the Richmond Hill tournament- albeit by a squeak. Tonight however was a very different story. Georgetown scored first with a rather lucky goal followed by a more impressive top shelf second goal. From there, the flood gates just remained opened. We managed to score one goal with a flurry of activity between Xavier, Josh and Colin, but clearly we were not having a good night. Lots of variables at play- missing Ryan and Bryce because of another tournament, injuries with defencemen, Zach and goalie Liam and a pressure filled game for goalie Chris. Several opportunities but just couldn’t make anything come to fruition.
Final score, 6-1 for Georgetown. It was clearly their day, not ours. Better luck next time.
