Wolves leave it all on the ice in playoff series.
(by Stacey Way) The Ice Wolves wrapped up the season in a hard fought playoff series against Kitchener Red.

On home ice for the first game of the series,  the boys entered the third period with a 2-1 lead over the always tough Kitchener Red. In the end, their offensive power would prove too much for the Ice Wolves as Kitchener went on to score four unanswered goals in the third to win 5-3. Waterloo goal scorers were Easton Schnarr (assisted by Mike Rintche and Cooper Way), Cooper Way and Kyle Maloney (both unassisted).

In the second and ultimately the final game of the series, the Ice Wolves left it all on the ice. Heading into the third period they again held a 2-1 lead but as they have all season, Red had their number. The opposition would again score four unanswered goals. Despite their valiant effort to even up the score, the Ice Wolves would lose this one 5-2. Ice Wolves scorers were Cooper Way and Mike Rintche, with assists going to Christopher Brown, Way and Easton Schnarr.

Congratulations on an excellent season Ice Wolves, you can hold your head high knowing you gave it your all!

Thank you to coaches Shawn Way, Steve Maloney, Mark Reesor and Kyle Hanson! The boys growth and successes this year are a testament to your efforts!
