Novice Ice Wolves Have Another Successful Weekend
(by Greg Brown) The Waterloo Novice Ice Wolves had a busy weekend, playing 3 games and coming away with 2 wins and a loss.

Friday night the Ice Wolves traveled to Cambridge, and left with a 3-2 win over the home team.  Goal scorers for the Ice Wolves were Cooper Way, Kyle Maloney and Connor Rowell, with assists going to Hunter Baird, Jake Anderson and Jonnie Dinner.

Saturday the Wolves had another tough away game in Kitchener, taking on the Red team.  The Wolves kept it close, but in the end the Kitchener team pulled away, resulting in a 7-4 loss. Kyle Maloney led all goal scorers with 2 goals, while Callahan Reesor and Jake Anderson each netted a single. Jonnie Dinner also chipped in with an assist.

To round out the weekend, the Ice Wolves played a home game against an upstart Burlington team, who trailed the Wolves by just one spot in the standings. The Ice Wolves played another strong game and came out with their second 3-2 win of the weekend. Kyle Maloney scored all 3 goals for the Wolves, with Ryan Hanson earning 2 assists and Jake Anderson and Christopher Brown each earning singles.

The Ice Wolves move on to their last 3 games, and hope to build off this weekend by finishing strong while moving on in the playoffs.
