Waterloo Minor Atom A/AA Wolves shutout 4-0 by the London Jr. Knights
The Waterloo Minor Atom A/AA Wolves faced the London Jr.
Knights in the Wolves' second regular season game of the year. The Knights already had a tournament
championship and
two regular season games under their belts outscoring their
opponents 11-1. Although the Wolves
continued with their accurate passing game, the Knights were on them quickly
and took away their time and space. The
Wolves were able to keep up with London, and our goalie held us in the game
right to the end, but we were not able to generate quality scoring chances and gave
up four unanswered goals in the first two periods leading to a 4-0 loss.
It was a hard fought, exciting game with some good fundamental play early in their season. We look forward to the boys getting more ice-time together to jell as a team and to an exciting tournament next weekend at the Whitby Thanksgiving Classic.
