2019 Christmas Tournament
The 2019 Christmas Tournament will take place December 27-29 at RIM Park.

The event will consist of a three (3) game round robin with a final Championship game. ALL TEAMS ARE GUARANTEED 4 GAMES!!  

Round Robin games take place December 27, 28 and 29, with Division Championship Games in the late afternoon/early evening on December 29 and the possibility of an Inter-City Championship game vs Cambridge on December 30.  

Schedules have been posted on the Tournament website as well as on individual Team websites.

NEW FORMAT – Black vs Gold Challenge

  • Teams have been divided into two (2) Divisions based on regular season standings as of December 1st:
    • Group A (Black) - Ice, Mountain and Wild
    • Group B (Gold) - Arctic, Timber and Tundra
  • Group A teams (Ice, Mountain, Wild) will wear “BLACK” jerseys and Group B teams (Ice, Mountain, Wild) will wear “GOLD” jerseys in every game
  • ROUND ROBIN: Group A (Black) teams will compete “as a Division” head-to-head against the Group B (Gold) teams and then be seeded 1st to 3rd in their respective Group based on the results of those games.
  • CHAMPIONSHIPS:  ALL teams will advance to the Division vs Division Championships after the Round Robin series as follows:
    • 3rd Place BLACK (Group A) vs 3rd Place GOLD – winning team earns 1pt for their Division
    • 2nd Place BLACK (Group A) vs 3rd Place GOLD – winning team earns 2pts for their Division
    • 1st Place BLACK (Group A) vs 1st Place GOLD – winning team earns 3pts for their Division
  • Each Division vs Division Championship Game will have a Championship and Finalist team, including awards.
  • The winner of each Division vs Division Championship game will earn a corresponding number of points for their Division (see above).
  • The Division with the most points in the Division vs Division Championship games will be declared overall tournament champions!
  • The winning team of the 3pt Division vs Division (1st vs 1st) Championship game will advance to the Cambridge/Waterloo Winter Classic Championship on December 30 in Cambridge!
