Hey Parents,
Waterloo Minor Hockey is run by volunteers and we need you!
Every team needs a Coach, Assistant and a Trainer (plus on ice helpers for practices)!
We also need a Convenor to run the division, help with evalutations and the hockey tournaments! It sounds like a lot of work but its not that bad. If you are interested or need more information please email [email protected]. I did it last year and it was a lot of fun!
To help on the ice you NEED to have :
1. Police background check (known as a police records check or PRC)
WMH will reimburse the cost of getting this done.
Get it done NOW it takes a couple weeks.
If you don't have one in September you will NOT be allowed to coach or help on the ice.

2. Respect in Sport
Again WMH will reimburse the of getting this done.

Its super easy to get and a real eye opener!

3. Coaching Stream

4. Trainer

Its a real eye opener and will give you the knowledge you need to protect the kids on your team.

5. Coaching Development Level 1
Again WMH will reimburse the cost of getting this done
When: RIM Sports Complex 2001 University Avenue Waterloo 08/24/2013-08/25/2013
Its a 2 day course where they give you tools to coach, DVDs binders with Hockey Canada drills.
On day 2 you get do some drills for kids in your age group.

Goalie equipment will be provided for kids interested in playing goalie for the season, so bring your child out and see if being a goalie is something they want to do.
Also throughout the season there will be monthly goalie only practices to help kids improve quickly.
