Team Update
The team has been busy this fall for the start of the season.

Our first team building event was at Double Dragon where the boys got to test their abilities on the ninja warrior course.  They tackled the famous challenges such as the quad steps, the rope swing, and of course, the warped wall.

The Halton Hills Winter Classic tournament was this past weekend.  We played some good games in the round robin but a loss in the semi-finals to the host squad sent us home with some lessons learned but sadly, no hardware.

Our 18th man project has been an incredible success!  We had the boys complete a bottle drive to pay for surgery to repair a club foot condition for a boy in Uganda named Meddy.  The boys helped distribute flyers, collect bottles, and return the empties to raise money.  He has had his surgery and is currently in the months-long recovery process.  We sent a care package to Meddy with a soccer ball, a Waterloo wolves t-shirt and jersey, and some treats.  The bottle drive went so well that we are going to sponsor a second child!  The boys have learned that a little time and effort is all that is needed to change the lives of some people forever.  Thanks to the following sponsors:

Bhima's Warung
Chill Bar
Dawson Automotive
Dearborn Restaurant
McPhail Sports
Colour Harmony Designs

Our hockey schedule has plenty of exhibition games and tournaments remaining and we're looking forward to the rest of the season!
