Novice MD Red face a motivated Cambridge Hawks team with a loss
The Wolves came close on a tough battle in Cambridge with a close come from behind loss.

The Wolves came out slow against a motivated Cambridge Hawks team.  With the Wolves beating the Hawks a week earlier and quite handedly, the Hawks had vengeance in their eyes, which the young Wolves took too lightly. The Hawks went up quickly in the first with 3 quick goals and put the Wolves behind the eight ball early.  Coach Strachs delivered his Roger Neilson speech to get the boys fired up…with this, they did.  Nater opened the scoring in the second which the Hawks answering back with another to make it 4-1 going into the third.  The boys did not want to let their fans or coaches down so they played a spirited, yet penalty filled third.  Jonesy and Nater filled the net to bring the game within 1 making it 4-3.  The buzzer came a bit too soon, to close out the game with the loss.

The Wolves had a quick change over and readied themselves to go back on the bus to Burlington for an early afternoon game on Sunday January 14th.
