Win to Earn First Place
Waterloo Wolves PeeWee MD Black picked up two points with a win Sunday evening against the Burlington Bulldogs Red squad earning them top spot in the league standings. With a solid win, the Wolves now prepare for the next round of games after teams are placed in the two tiers of the PeeWee division.

Although the Wolves were down a few players, they came out strong in the first period, after dusting off the cobwebs in their exhibition game against the Paris Wolfpack. Burlington was first to find the score sheet, which seemed to fuel Waterloo. The accuracy of the passes and the push and drive to skate was much improved Sunday evening. The defence attacked the puck, pushing the player to the boards, eliminating scoring opportunities for Burlington. The forwards, heads up, passed to the open man, providing clear shots and rebound attempts. Well done to #3 Miller who scored two of the Wolves three goals and was so close to an empty net shot late in the third. Congratulations to all players for a good game and thank you to the cheering squad of parents, grandparents and siblings, who helped motivate the boys!
