On ice rivals come together off ice
The 2003 seeded Minor Midget Waterloo Wolves and Kitchener Jr. Rangers and have completed their friendly off-ice challenge to collect new socks for those experiencing - or at risk of experiencing - homelessness as part of the ToastyToes 2018 campaign.

The Toasty Toes campaign launched on October 10 and both teams got busy collecting socks at games, practices, and even on their porches. The parents joined in and asked for support in their workplaces, too.

The friendly competition between the Wolves and the Jr. Rangers to see who could collect the most socks really did prove that in the end, everyone is a winner. This group of young men learned about giving back and worked together for a cause bigger than themselves.

The teams met on Saturday, November 10 to drop off their donations. When all was said and done, the players and families put socks on the feet of 1,318 people! Thank you to everyone who supported both teams over the last month (and just in case you were wondering, the Wolves were the ultimate sock champions with 936 pairs collected).

A special thank you Sharon Dreher, the organizer of Toasty Toes, for being a true community hero.
