THREEPEAT!! Wolves Will Return to the Land of the Rising Sun
Submitted By WMHA on Monday, November 20, 2017
The Waterloo Wolves Minor Bantam AAA team are the 2017 Tri-City Toyota Hockey Challenge Tournament CHAMPIONS!!!

The Wolves downed the Cambridge 7-1 in front of a boisterous crowd at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium on Saturday afternoon.

This is the 3rd consecutive Waterloo Wolves Minor Bantam AAA team to take home the Championship and earn the right to travel to Japan, with prior wins coming in 2015 and 2013.

The game was fast-paced and saw back and forth chances from both teams in the first two periods, with the Wovles leading 2-1 heading into the third.   However, it was all Waterloo in the third period as they locked down the game with 5 straight goals to finish off the Hawks 7-1 and secure the Championship!

Special thanks to the over 800 fans who came out to support the teams and make donations to the Region of Waterloo Food Bank, and to TOYOTA for making this amazing event possible!

The Wolves will now travel to Hokkaido, Japan in March 2018 to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime cultural exchange all expenses paid Toyota Motor Hokkaido (TMH) and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. (TMMC) where they will take on the Tomakomai Allstars!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PLAYERS, COACHES AND THEIR FAMILIES ON THIS AMAZING ACCOMPLISHMENT!
