MD Black defeats MD White
It was a battle of the Wolves this evening, with MD White having home team advantage at Albert McCormick Arena. However, team Black was hungry for a victory after last evening's disappointing loss and they were willing to put it all on the ice tonight! Both teams came onto the ice with a purpose and many shots were taken, but it was MD black who found the net first, with a goal by C. Eamer, assisted by Bosomworth and Williams.

The second period was when Black really let their talents shine. Great passing, patience on the puck and quick skating put our players in the position to score. And score they did! Labrie was ready out in front, for a pass from Miller who was behind the net. Williams took a great pass from Rozema, to slide it past the goalie. Then again late in the second, Williams had his eye on the top shelf of the net. Waiting for the goalie to slide, Williams then lifted the puck to place it perfectly over the shoulder. This play was executed with great timing: pass from Jespersen at the point, to Malcolm in the zone, then over to Williams to the left of the goalie. Great team work boys. During the third, C. Eamer buried an unassisted goal to improve the Wolves lead to 4. With a final score of 5-1 the coaches and players celebrated a well earned victory.
Player of the game tonight went to Williams, #10, for his outstanding patience out in front of the net. Such control with the puck, not only with his scoring but also the assists to help set up his fellow teammates. Well done!
