WOLVES ARE SEMI FINALISTS AT WENDY DUFTON MEMORIAL
The Minor Midget AAA Wolves had a hugely successful weekend in many ways at the Wendy Dufton Memorial Tournament in London. The Wolves played short handed due to a couple of injuries. The Wolves went 4 and 0 in the round robin and then beat Elgin 3-2 in OT in the Quarter Finals.
In the semis they faced a tough Ajax Pickering Raiders squad. Ajax held a 1-0 lead going into the 3rd period. In the 3rd the Wolves pushed the pace and scored 2 goals to go up 2-1. Late in the game with Ajax goalie pulled off a broken faceoff play the Raiders scored to put it into OT. In a high paced and action packed 3on3 OT the Raiders ended up scoring about 3 minutes in to give them the win.
