MINOR MIDGET WOLVES WIN WATERLOO GOLD PUCK TOURNEY
The Waterloo Minor Midget AAA Wolves had a very exciting weekend winning their home GOLD PUCK TOURNAMENT.
The weekend started off a little slow tying Upper Canada 3-3. In game 2 they battled hard and emerged with a 2-1 victory over Kingston. In game 3 the offense came alive and beat the Oakville Rangers 6-3. Game 4 the offense kept rolling in a 5-1 win over Cleveland. This gave them 1st place in their division and a semi final berth to play their cross town rivals from Kitchener.
In the semis this was a hard fought affair and both teams battled and both goalies were strong. Waterloo emerged on top in a 1-0 win on a goal by Trent Lamarche.
In the finals the Wolves faced a very tough Thunder Bay Kings team. This game was on eof the most entertaining and hard fought games of the season. Waterloo prevailed 3-1 to win the GOLD TOURNAMENT. Congrats to all the players
